India calls and I
respond: “I’ve missed you, I’m coming”
The once again journey from light to dark to light to dark,
leaving Seattle Sunday at 7AM, arriving in Chennai at 1AM Tuesday morning. Lesley and Mr. Mohan
comprise my welcoming committee. Jake is home with the sleeping Claire. In this
vast country of unfamiliar faces these two pluck me from the anonymity I’ve
been cloaked in since I left Seattle and with hugs (several) and smiles snap me
like a Lego brick back into the constructs and meanings of my life.
A lovely 12 hour sleep soothes the discomforts of air travel…and
upon awaking, a Claire reunion. She is a jewel. Her parents call her Bubbles
and indeed she bubbles over with smiles and per-son-al-ity. Just perfection.
This is the sight I came to see. Nothing India has to show me will compare to
gazing at this little dolly.

**Claire completes a front to back roll-over with Mommy and

I think she was just waiting for Nana to arrive to show off her new skills...!!
